Figuring Out Who You Are Has Nothing To Do With Others

One of the things we all do at some point in life is trying to figure out who we are, what our role and place is in this world.

And it’s OK to ask ourselves that question. It’s a healthy question by the way. As long as you don’t start comparing yourself with others and start wondering whether or not they have figured themselves out or not.

If you put other people in the equation, you leave yourself out of the equation. Who ‘they’ are, is who they choose to be today, what they decide to do with their time today and in the future.

Figuring out who you are has really nothing to do with others. It’s a personal.

Do you remember who you were, when you were just a kid, before the people in your environment started telling you who you were supposed to be?

Before you started absorbing and believing all of the elements that were presented to you. Do you remember, when you were free? When you would dream and do things how you wanted and when you wanted. And even when your parents told you not to do it, you did it anyway. You were free.

The good news is, you’re still free, if you allow yourself to be.

You can still dream, if you allow yourself to dream.

You can still be who whoever you want to be, if you allow yourself to be.

And that process of being starts today. It start with being yourself ‘right now’. Just be who you are right now.

In reality, we spend more time thinking about future things more than we get to live those things. Moments like Christmas. Some of use prepare Christmas months in advance, in terms of the people we want to invite, the gifts we want to exchange and the things we want to eat. In the future.

But the ‘now’, and just like Christmas is very short. It’s very instant, it’s a moment, it’s an experience. It’s gone in a blink of an eye.

Don’t spend more time preparing for who you want to be when you can start being an earlier version of that, right now.

It’s an equation, a balance. When your mind spends more time in the future than in the present, you are out of balance.

Quote: “This is reminder that it is OK if you don’t have your identity figured out yet. It takes time, don’t worry if you’re not sure about yourself yet.”

If you haven’t figured it out who you are yet here’s an important thing to know: you don’t have to figure it out. You don’t have to have a finish line. You don’t have to be a fixed thing. You are good enough today and you can become slightly better tomorrow.

Have an unlimited mindset.

Understand that you can always become better. You can always improve. An unlimited mindset will ultimately take you back to the ‘now’.

So, don’t limit your thoughts and creativity when it comes to where you could be tomorrow by constantly trying to paint a perfect picture.

The beauty of you is how you wear who you are right now, because the ‘now’ is all what people get to experience, in perpetuity.

You are unlimited.
