CBD for Dogs: How to Keep Your Dog Healthy? (Infographic)

Over the past few years, CBD has become a very popular alternative to conventional medications for humans. But, what if we tell you that you can safely give CBD to your dog as well?

Yes, this powerful compound is derived from the industrial hemp (a variation of the Cannabis sativa plant) which makes it completely legal. In fact, cannabidiol (CBD) is the second most present chemical in marijuana after tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

But, unlike the psychoactive THC, CBD does not produce the effect of being high. It binds to the neurological receptors in mammals and it regulates functions such as immune system, pain, appetite and the overall health.

Since dogs have developed endocannabinoid system very much resembling us humans, CBD produces pretty much the same effects. In fact, CBD reduces the symptoms of all sorts of allergies and helps dogs with different skin problems.

Also, it keeps the anxiety levels low. So, if your dog is afraid of, for example, other large dogs, with the right dose of CBD your pup will feel more relaxed and open to playing with other furry friends in the park.

Furthermore, for a large number of dogs, the 4th of July can be a real nightmare. In fact, the fear of fireworks (and thunderstorms) is very common in dogs. But, also with the right dose of CBD, this can all go away for a moment.

What CBD is most commonly used for in dogs is arthritis. This is one of the most common conditions, especially in the aging dogs. CBD is known for its painkilling and anti-inflammatory properties and that is why it caught the attention of the vets. It reduces swelling and pain in doggos suffering from arthritis.

In this infographic by Greencamp, you can find all the necessary information regarding the dosage and the types of products best for your furry friend.
